Overview

Andropause, low T and hypogonadism in aging men describe the psychosocial and physical health issues related to deficiency of testosterone levels. Various management options, from lifestyle modification to medical and surgical interventions have been proposed to ameliorate symptoms associated with these conditions. Recommendations from the latest clinical guidelines will be used as the basis of this workshop to provide up-to-date information for clinicians to successfully manage these common conditions.

Objectives

At the conclusion of this presentation, participants should be able to:

1. Outline the diagnostic strategies for andropause or hypogonadism in aging men

2. Discuss the various management options including lifestyle modification and medical management of andropause

3. Manage the safety concerns on the use of exogenous testosterone therapy for men with andropauase
