Dr. Mamane is a member of the Attending Staff of the JGH, Division of General Internal Medicine, and Assistant Professor in the McGill Department of Medicine. Dr. Mamane received his MD from McGill University, where he also completed his training in Internal Medicine and General Internal Medicine. He went on to complete an MSc in Experimental Medicine at McGill, where his thesis evaluated the impact of sarcopenia on cardiovascular surgery outcomes. He subsequently completed an MPH in Clinical Effectiveness (epidemiology) at the Harvard TH Chan School of Public Health and a research fellowship in patient safety at Harvard University/Brigham and Women’s Hospital, where he studied novel uses of the electronic health record to improve safety in real-time. In addition to his numerous teaching contributions and his quality improvement work, he has served on several committees for both the IM and GIM training programs as well as the JGH.
