Born and bred in Montreal, I attended University at Harvard and then Medical School at McGill and then stayed at McGill and trained in the FRCPC program in Emergency Medicine. After completing my residency as Chief Resident, I did an additional fellowship year. I have been the Research Director and the Acting Director of the Emergency Department at the Royal Victoria Hospital (RVH), (part of the McGill University Health Centre) and am presently an Assistant Professor in the Dept. of Emergency Medicine at McGill and an attending physician in the Emergency Dept at the MUHC (Royal Victoria Hospital and Montreal General Hospital). I teach at McGill Medical School. In the past I've been a Royal College Examiner and an Associate Editor and Reviewer for the Canadian Journal of Emergency Medicine as well as a Reviewer for the Canadian Medical Association Journal.
